Surgical Team

Dr. Boyett has had the honor of working with a strong, knowledgeable surgical team with each member being committed to Orthopedics. This ensures that he and his surgical team run a safe, efficient, and organized surgical environment.  Many of the members have been working together for over 10 years.  They love what they do and are good at it.

 

Coty Webster, RT, SA-C, is a Radiology Technician and Surgical First Assist who has worked with Dr. Boyett since 2008.  Coty is a Radiology Tech by her original education but returned to school and completed a Surgical First Assist Program.  She is certified as a Surgical First Assist.  Coty assists in surgery and is responsible for coordinating surgical instruments and implants for each surgery.  A valuable part of the surgical team, she adds safety and skilled hands that make surgery go smoothly and more efficiently.

 

Dillon Volpi, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who participates in all aspects of care from clinic to hospital to surgery.  Dillon has worked in the practice since completion of Physician Assistant school at Lipscomb University.  He participates in hospital rounds, clinic visits, and also assists in surgery.  Prior to PA school, Dillon was an active Marine for the USMC.  He held positions that included Military Police and after his service to our country began his pursuit and career in medicine. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

 

Kristina Coffman, CST, is a certified Surgical technician that excelled in her work in the operating room to the level that Dr. Boyett was able to hire her to work with him in both a surgical and clinical role.  Kristina is a native of Limestone County and worked as a pharmacy technician before becoming a surgical technician.  Her broad knowledge base and experience are valuable to the team.

 

Penny Boyett, Pharm D, PA-C, maintains balance around the Boyett household, assists in surgery, and helps to coordinate the office and surgery schedule.  Penny is both a Pharmacist and Physician Assistant having attended Samford University School of Pharmacy and University of Alabama School of Physician Assistant.  Penny’s knowledge of pharmacy brings a unique perspective to the practice.

Clinical Team

Your team will consist of several highly skilled team members during your visit and recovery:

 

Kelley Chance, RT, is a Radiology Technician and Orthopedic Clinician who has worked with Dr. Boyett since 2012.  Kelley has a strong depth of knowledge in Orthopedic Surgery and brings consistency, experience, and balance to the practice.  She is the team leader and coordinator and has a depth of orthopedic knowledge that is extremely valuable and trusted.

 

Desiree Wallace, ROT, is a Registered Orthopedic Technician and Orthopedic Clinician and has worked with Dr. Boyett since completion of her training.  Desiree coordinates MRI and imaging reports, clinic schedule, and helps drive the clinic in an efficient and organized fashion.  She brings a smile and enthusiasm with each patient encounter.

 

Kelley and Desiree will be involved in your care all along the way.  They are your front line of communication and will help coordinate your perioperative care in addition to your office visits.
